Cat Alves

Cat Alves joined the CivWorld staff in September of 2007 as an intern, dealing with media relations, networking, and research efforts. She is currently a senior at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College where she studies Sociology and Political Science.

She serves as the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, captain of Hunter’s intercollegiate softball program and is an active member of the Student Ambassador Program and the Undergraduate Student Government. Previously, Cat held an internship at the office of State Senator Liz Krueger as part of the Women’s Public Leadership Intern Program.
